my side's still sore from shoveling

While shoveling the lovely ice and snow mixture my neighbor commented, “I’d like to know whose brilliant idea ice was.” And just now on shuffle, It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas started playing. That’s just cruel.

sometimes you have to do something twice to make sure the first time wasn’t a fluke

Except I should really know by now that once my sister starts driving me crazy about something, she doesn’t stop. This is when I need my mom to turn to my sister and tell her “Your sister’s an adult, stop treating her like she’s five.” Since that’s not an option, what do I do?
1.Have a very intuitive aunt who calls at just the right time, who has experience being a younger sister.
2. Have her take my mind off of it by giving the update on my very pregnant cousin, whose baby decided to turn again, so she might have a c-section Thursday, or if the baby turns again, she’ll probably have him this weekend.
3.Decide that you both are going to give up ten pounds for Lent.

randomness #242

I don't enjoy killing bugs, but when is agitating the cat to the point that it's agitating me...the smack of the shoe is rather satisfying.

tvism

On the radio I heard a clip from Top Design “You just can’t design a room around a cat” said one of the judges. Um, apparently she’s never been in my living room. The cat toys strewn about, the couch throws bunched up just so, the end table next to the window so Kitty Cat can either sit on it and look out or walk across it to the window for easy access. Granted it didn’t start this way, the living room just sort of evolved into this, and when I pick up the toys and straighten the throws, they magically get put back to Kitty’s liking.
